Kathryn Roberts Caswell - lead vocals
Kathryn has been singin' since she was knee high to a grasshopper! She's a former lead female front of an established variety band in Lexington, KY called "The Classics". Live performances included several music genres such as pop, soul, classics, rock and country.
Other vocal notables include singing the national anthem for a 6,000+ crowd on Labor Day weekend post 9/11 for the minor league Houston Astro's "Lexington Legends" and she was in the top three singers of WLEX- TV18 "LIVE at Sunrise" call-in contest of 500,000+ viewers.
In 2011, she was her local county's Idol winner (ages 18 and up). Recently, she was chosen to be filmed for a national Pepsi commercial spot on the set of the X-Factor and provided vocal entertainment for her county's annual "2012 Spirit Awards".
Some of her musical influences are Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Adele, Sara Evans, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Heart, Alanis Morisette, Pat Benatar, Stevie Nicks, and Janis Joplin.

Mel McKinney - Guitar and vocals:
Mel's the center, the rock, the anchor; the calm center that keeps everything on course and the chaos manageable. His smoooth baritone vocals, and ability to make the ladies swoon have earned him the nickname "Melvis."

Jeff "Fletch" Fletcher - Drums
"Fletch" grew up north of Richmond VA listening to WGOE, The Big X, and WLEE. His eclectic style with solid rock roots makes him a natural fit for Southern Roots. He's often up with sun and ALWAYS down with a smooth beat from his '69 Slingerland Buddy Rich combo set.

Doug James - Guitar and Vocals:
In 1962, when he was just five years old, Doug's parents took him to see his uncle's band open for Loretta Lynn. This concert (and the subsequent trip backstage to meet Ms. Lynn) set off a life-long fascination with guitars. Three years later, he got a guitar of his very own. Now, 40-odd years (REALLY odd!) and a laundry list of unknown bands later, he's still fascinated with playing guitars. Doug's musical style incorporates elements of jazz, rock, blues, funk and country that's been described as "mean and raw as a pissed off grizzly one second, smooth and sophisticated as a debutante the next."
